mini传媒 welcomes new associate superintendent
New Westminster, B.C. 鈥� mini传媒 is pleased to announce Geraldine Lawlor will join the district as its new associate superintendent this coming September. Lawlor, a 32-year veteran in education, previously worked as a director of instruction (graduation and innovation) for Coast Mountains School District (SD82) in Terrace, British Columbia.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a great honour to be given an opportunity to work in one of B.C.鈥檚 most progressive districts,鈥� said Lawlor. 鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to serving the community鈥檚 students and parents as associate superintendent.鈥�
Lawlor earned two bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and secondary education from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from the University of British Columbia. She spent 22 years as a classroom teacher before rising to the position of vice principal and principal in an alternate school. Lawlor continued on serving as a middle and secondary school principal for five years prior to becoming SD82鈥檚 director of instruction.
