mini传媒 welcomes new associate superintendent
New Westminster, B.C. 鈥 mini传媒 is pleased to announce Geraldine Lawlor will join the district as its new associate superintendent this coming September. Lawlor, a 32-year veteran in education, previously worked as a director of instruction (graduation and innovation) for Coast Mountains School District (SD82) in Terrace, British Columbia.

鈥淚t鈥檚 a great honour to be given an opportunity to work in one of B.C.鈥檚 most progressive districts,鈥 said Lawlor. 鈥淚鈥檓 looking forward to serving the community鈥檚 students and parents as associate superintendent.鈥
Lawlor earned two bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry and secondary education from the Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from the University of British Columbia. She spent 22 years as a classroom teacher before rising to the position of vice principal and principal in an alternate school. Lawlor continued on serving as a middle and secondary school principal for five years prior to becoming SD82鈥檚 director of instruction.
