French Immersion students celebrate French Immersion Day with film
mini传媒’ French Immersion students got a treat – and an opportunity to put their bilingual skills to the test – when they marked French Immersion Day on April 23 with a field trip to catch two French movies.
Students from K-5 enjoyed animated feature, “Katak, le brave b茅luga” while Gr. 6-12 students watched “Mlle Bottine” with both groups sporting their “je parle fran莽ais!” t-shirts.
National French Immersion Day is celebrated on the fourth Wednesday of April
The (ACPI) declared the fourth Wednesday of April as “National French Immersion Day” to raise awareness about the importance of French immersion programs for bilingualism in Canada.
